John Greer is a Human Factors Consultant with the
Department of Labor’s
Office of Disability Employment Policy’s Job Accommodation
Network. He has been with the Job Accommodation Network in this capacity
since 1998. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering
and a Masters of Science in Safety and Environmental Management from
West Virginia University.
As a member of the motor team at the Job Accommodation Network,
John provides information regarding the Americans with Disabilities
Act, FMLA, the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 along with accommodation
information for all disabilities with a special emphasis on neck,
back, and repetitive strain impairments. He speaks throughout the
country on ADA and accommodation issues and guest lecturers at West
Virginia University for the Occupational Therapy, Rehabilitation
Counseling and Vocational Evaluation, and the Safety and Environmental
Management programs at West Virginia University. He also serves as
the faculty advisor for the campus Whitewater Club.
John also serves as the JAN Conference Exhibits Coordinator.
If not spending time with his two children, he can be found paddling
around one of West Virginia’s many rivers.
