Dr. Beth Loy is a Clinical Assistant Professor at
West Virginia University (WVU), International Center for Disability
Information (ICDI). In
this capacity, she teaches graduate and doctorate level introductory
statistics, advanced statistics, and research methods. Dr. Loy
has developed e-learning courses with WebCt Vista and Blackboard
and
is proficient with web conferencing as a teaching and training
mechanism. She coordinates and develops accessible (Section 508)
Web sites for
ICDI.
Dr. Loy is a Human Factors Consultant with the Job Accommodation
Network (JAN). As an Accommodation Generalist, she specializes in
mobility, cognitive, psychiatric, and sensory impairments and the
Americans with Disabilities Act. She is one of JAN’s assistive
technology specialists.
Dr. Loy has a Ph.D. in Resource Economics with a specialization
in social policy and has been with WVU since 1996. She is a national
researcher and speaker in the disability field.
