The mission of Alternative Communication Services (ACS) is to provide the highest quality voice-to-text services possible, delivering these services to consumers throughout the world, and recognizing the unique strengths of each individual in the process.

  • Beyond Hearing Aids, Inc. Beyond Hearing Aids is a vendor of assistive listening and alerting devices (ALDS) for people with hearing loss. The book, On the Job with Hearing Loss: Hidden Challenges, Successful Solutions will be featured. Accommodations for people with hearing loss will be displayed, such as: telephone amplifiers, personal listening devices for meetings, signaling/paging systems, and amplified stethoscopes.

  • Computer/Electronic Accommodations Program (CAP). The Computer/Electronic Accommodations Program (CAP) is the centrally funded program providing assistive technology and accommodations to individuals with disabilities and wounded service members throughout the Federal Government. CAP services are available to individuals with visual, hearing, dexterity and cognitive disabilities by providing them with the appropriate accommodation for each individual, at no cost to the agency.

  • The Employer Assistance & Recruiting Network (EARN). EARN is a free service that helps employers recruit and hire qualified workers to meet their workforce needs through our extensive network of over 6,500 disability employment service providers. In addition, we assist employers in understanding the practical business reasons for, as well as the practices that facilitate the recruitment and hiring of people with disabilities. We also offer assistance for employment service providers and jobseekers with disabilities. This includes providing jobseekers and service providers with job leads from employers specifically interested in including jobseekers with disabilities in their recruiting efforts.

  • EnableMart. EnableMart’s mission is to market, promote, and distribute innovative technology-based products and services that promote independence, enhance productivity, and change the lives of individuals with disabilities. Their vision is to bring about awareness within the community, to increase the number of individuals using assistive technologies, and thus provide the link to the benefits that these technologies have to offer them.

  • Eye Response Technologies, Inc. The ERICA Communication system is a Speech Generating Device that provides a simple and easy-to-use method to communicate and control a computer through eye movement alone. The Global Review is a comprehensive research document comparing the latest accessibility standards for the built environment. It compares selected building codes and standards from developed and developing countries, those undergoing rebuilding and war torn countries.
