Pat Flavin has over 20 years of corporate management
experience with the TJX Companies, Inc., the leading off-price
retailer of apparel
and home fashions in the U.S. and worldwide. In total, they
operate more than 2,390 stores, including T.J. Maxx, Marshalls,
HomeGoods,
A.J. Wright, and Bob’s Stores in the U.S., as well as
Winners and HomeSense in Canada and T.K. Maxx in Europe. Worldwide
the
company employs over 130,000 associates.
As the Manger of Government
Programs, Mr. Flavin draws on his many years of experience
in Staffing and Employee Relations to direct
the Welfare to Work and other workforce development programs at
TJX. Since starting the program in 1997, TJX has hired over 55,000
former
welfare recipients.
Mr. Flavin is involved in numerous outside community
and professional endeavors, including Corporate Voices for Working
Families, The Clubhouse
Coalition, Metrowest Chamber of Commerce, Greater Boston Employer
Advisory Board to the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission,
Boston Career Link Advisory Council, Business Advisory Board for
Morgan
Memorial Goodwill Industries, Advisory Board for the Department
of Social Services Foster Parent Recruitment Outreach, and is a
member
of NEHRA Northeast Human Resources Association and SHRM Society
of Human Resource Management.
Mr. Flavin holds a bachelor's degree
from Northeastern University and resides in Grafton, MA.
