Section 504/ADA Coordinator
Harvard University
Marie A. Trottier is the Section 504/ADA Coordinator at Harvard
University, reporting to the Assistant to the President. In this
position she works with
all the schools and departments in the areas of disability compliance
for academics, human resources, architectural access, and events
dealing with
members of the outside public.
She is currently Co-Chair of the Governor’s
Commission for Employment of People with Disabilities in Massachusetts,
and is also a member and Secretary of the Board of Trustees
of Mt. Wachusett Community College in Massachusetts. She serves
on the Mt. Wachusett Community College Foundation Board as
well. She is a member of the Massachusetts Business Leadership Network
(BLN) Business Steering Group, and she represents New England,
New York and New Jersey on the Executive Committee of the US
Business Leadership Network (USBLN).
At Harvard, she serves on a Fellowships committee that awards
grants to students each summer in the areas of Public
Interest. She is currently Vice-Chair of the Board of Trustees for
the Harvard University Employees Credit Union. In Boston,
she is
President of the Board of Trustees for the Adaptive Environments
Center. Also, she is currently serving as President of
the Board of Trustees of the Lafayette Condominium Trust in
Boston.
She does extensive public speaking and training on the
Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)/Section 504 and
on Disability
Policy and Compliance for educational institutions,
businesses, employers,
and public accommodations.
She lives in Boston with her husband,
Allan Macurdy, and her
Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Lady Rose.
