Carole McDonough is a human resources division director and senior
vice president at Citizens Bank. Carole partners with various
banking divisions including commercial lending and corporate
banking across
the US in her current role. She has experience in employee
relations, staffing, training, compensation, diversity/affirmative
action,
and benefits administration. She has helped coordinate, design
and/or lead the people planning project plans for twelve different
acquisitions in as many years. Carole joined Citizens Bank
in 1993 as a result of the acquisition of the former Boston Five
Cents
Savings Bank FSB, where she held several human resource positions.
Carole is on the board of directors of Operation A.B.L.E. of Greater
Boston (since 2001), a member of the Massachusetts Business Leadership
Network steering committee, and a corporate representative for
the Greater Boston Employer Advisory Board to the Massachusetts
Rehabilitation Commission.
Carole was recognized in 2004 by the
Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), the parent company of Citizens, with
the RBS Human Resources Recognition
Award in the category of adding value. She received the Citizens
Bank President’s Award in 2002 and the Citizens Bank Community
Credo Award in 2005.
Carole earned a B.S. degree in Urban Studies
from Worcester State College and a Human Resources Management
Certificate from Bentley
College.
