These companies and organizations will host exhibits at the 2005 JAN Conference:

  • ADA and IT Technical Assistance Centers. The National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR) has established ten regional centers to provide information, training, and technical assistance to employers, people with disabilities, and other entities with responsibilities under the ADA.
  • American Foundation for the Blind. AFB is a national nonprofit organization providing information and referral service regarding people who are blind or visually impaired.
  • AtWork Resources, Inc. Providing Human Resource, Risk and Case Managers with a proven absence management program built to reduce employer costs associated with worker absenteeism.
  • Caption First. Providing a full range of CART (Communication Access Realtime Translation) and captioning services.
  • Center for Accessible Technology (CforAT). The Center provides access to assistive technology that gives people with disabilities access to computers; provide art programs to provide access to artistic expression; and offer ongoing consultation and support to assist people with disabilities in maintaining and enhancing access.
  • Department of Homeland Security. America's Goal. Our Mission. Work with the Best. The Department of Homeland Security offers unique career opportunities that challenge your mind and reward your skills and talents. We offer careers in: Law Enforcement; Management and Administration; Cyber Security; Infrastructure Protection; Engineering; Computer Science and Information Technology Accountants; Attorneys Physical, Biological, and Behavioral Sciences; Emergency Preparedness and Response.
  • EARN – Employer Assistance & Recruiting Network. The Employer Assistance & Recruiting Network (EARN) is a free, nationwide service that connects employers with workforce talent and solutions. EARN offers HR professionals and hiring decision-makers the tools, resources and information they need to successfully integrate people with disabilities into the workplace.
  • EnableMart. The EnableMart mission is to market, promote, and distribute innovative technology-based products and services that promote independence, enhance productivity, and change the lives of individuals with disabilities. Our vision is to bring about awareness within the community, to increase the number of individuals using assistive technologies, and thus provide the link to the benefits that these technologies have to offer them.
  • Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit. The Detroit Partners for Customized Employment is a service funded by the U.S. Department of Labor Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) and Detroit Workforce Development Department coordinated by Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit a Michigan Works! Affiliate....Our mission is to support the rights of those living with disabilities to participate in all aspects of the Detroit Michigan Works! Centers, while striving to eliminate barriers to employment.
  • Infogrip, Inc. Products that provide people with a healthier and more productive way to interact with computers.
  • National Science Foundation (NSF). The National Science Foundation (NSF) is an independent federal agency created by Congress in 1950 to promote the progress of science; to advance the national health, prosperity, and welfare. With an annual budget of about $5.5 billion, we are the funding source for approximately 20 percent of all federally supported basic research conducted by America's colleges and universities. In many fields such as mathematics, computer science, and the social sciences, NSF is the major source of
    Federal backing.
  • Office of Disability Employment Policy. Provides national leadership by developing and influencing disability-related employment policy as well as practice affecting the employment of people with disabilities.
  • Onsight Awareness Training. Gary Karp, Trainer, Speaker. Onsight offers disability awareness services to help employers understand and benefit from employees with disabilities.
  • Disability Program Navigator San Francisco/ Private Industry Council. There are 3 One Stop Career Centers in S.F. that are available free, to assist people with Disabilities in using all One Stop Services. These include resume and cover letter assistance, help with job skills like interviewing and many other job related services.
  • US Business Leadership Network. The US Business Leadership Network (USBLN) is the national organization that supports development and expansion of BLNs across the country, serving as their collective voice. The USBLN recognizes and promotes best practices in hiring, retaining, and marketing to people with disabilities.
  • U.S. Department of Agriculture. The USDA is the "People's Department." USDA is one of the largest civilian employers with more than 300 different career occupations to choose. The heart of USDA remains production agriculture, helping our farmers feed America and the world in a sustainable way.
  • U.S. Department of State. Mission: To create a more secure, democratic, and prosperous world for the benefit of the American people and the international community.
