Personal assistants may register for $225 to cover food service (breakfasts, breaks, lunches, and reception). Please make checks payable to WVU Research Corp. Exhibitor Registration is $500. The exhibitor fee provides for one person. The fee for additional staff is $225 per person. Materials may be exhibited for $50. Sponsors: Conference sponsors are businesses and organizations committed to the employability of people with disabilities. For information on becoming a sponsor, please contact the Registration Coordinator. CEUs: JAN is applying for Continuing Education Units for Certified Case Manager (CCM), Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), Professionals in Human Resources (PHR), Senior Professionals in Human Resources (SPHR), and West Virginia University Continuing Education Program. Instructional Level: The training is appropriate for people with beginning, intermediate, and advanced knowledge of work site accommodations and ADA issues. Information will be presented at an intermediate level with training staff prepared to discuss at advanced or beginning levels as needed. Audience: The session is designed for employers but is quite useful for people who work with both employers and people with disabilities. Individualized Answers: JAN staff will be available throughout the conference to meet one-on-one with participants to discuss individual accommodation situations. Hands-on Accommodation Demonstration: An assistive technology organization will display a range of assistive technology devices and techniques, giving conference participants the chance to experience first hand technology that allow persons with disabilities to be successful in their organization. Location: The conference will be held at the Westin San Francisco on September 26 & 27, 2005. Directions from Mapquest. Access Nothern California has a Web site on accessible travel in the area. Sleeping rooms: The Westin is currently out of rooms for Tuesday night but these are available at the nearby Clarion (800-223-7111) for $110 plus tax and fees. Make your room reservation directly with the Westin San Francisco at (650) 692-3500 by August 24. Rooms are $105.00 (single or double) plus 14.5% tax and a $1.50 tourism fee. The Westin has 13 accessible sleeping rooms (1 with roll-in shower) and has reserved additional rooms with roll-in showers at the nearby Clarion. The Westin also has 4 ADA Compliance Kits for people with hearing impairments. Lunch and breaks: Continental breakfast, breaks, and lunches on both days plus the reception on Monday are included with registration. Accommodations: If you wish to register for this year's JAN Conference and you have an accommodation request or special need (e.g. dietary restrictions, service animal relief area, interpreter, or Braille), please submit your accommodation request in writing at the same time you submit your registration form. In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Rehabilitation Act, JAN will make a reasonable effort to provide effective accommodations for conference participants.
