Tracie Saab serves as a Human Factors Consultant for the Job Accommodation Network (JAN). She is a graduate of West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Master of Science degree in Rehabilitation Counseling. Tracie has held certification by the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) {1/96-3/01}.
As a consultant with JAN since 1995, Tracie provides information and referral services regarding accommodation ideas for people with disabilities in the workplace. She consults with employers, rehabilitation specialists and people with disabilities about accommodating individuals with all types of disabilities and also provides technical assistance regarding the employment provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Tracie specializes in providing accommodation information for individuals with sensory, immunology and endocrinology related limitations such as hearing impairment, vision impairment, chemical sensitivity, respiratory impairment, AIDS/HIV and diabetes.
Tracie has a special interest in the legal aspects of the accommodation process and serves as an national speaker for JAN providing information regarding job accommodation practices and the employment related federal equal rights requirements of the ADA and the Rehabilitation Act. She has served as Coordinator and instructor for the Job Accommodation graduate course offered through the Rehabilitation Counseling Graduate Program at West Virginia University (WVU) and is a guest lecturer for the Rehabilitation Counseling Graduate Program the Speech Pathology and Audiology Program and the School of Social Work at WVU.
Tracie has two lives, one as a consultant and one as a mom. As mom, Tracie enjoys painting her little girls' toe nails, getting involved in home projects with her husband, and organizing fundraisers for her children's school. She also enjoys staying up too late to watch John Edward on Sci-Fi.
